#Thewanderingcarranzas

It’s been a long time since my last post and a lot has happened in the last year. I started a new job, decided to quit that job for my dream career choice, AJ started school, Antonio finally moved down to Tampa, we did another move to a house with a fenced in yard for the dogs, had family visit… And now that we are finally settled down we get that call. You got it, we’re moving once again.

Two Weeks...

I don’t talk much about Antonio’s and my relationship, and neither does he, mainly because our focus is always on our son. Even though it is kind of odd social media, off the radar with my businesses, and to most people seemingly nonexistent; it’s not. We’ve been through a lot in the past decade and change we have been together, I honestly don’t know the exact amount of time, or when you start that time, but this past half year has been new.

Boy, Oh Boy... I’m Exhausted

I always felt like I was always doing things on my own, Antonio worked the opposite schedule of me so we could keep AJ out of daycare. I always had him with me at work, at home, and what felt like every moment. I guess I never noticed how much those few hours that I had by myself at the grocery store after work, or just being able to go to the gym everyday made such a difference.

Girl, Stop Apologizing

I am obsessed with Rachel Hollis’ new book, it seriously feeds my soul. So many times I find myself apologizing to others for what I want, and what makes me happy. I do this, not only as a mother, but as an entrepreneur, a manager, a co-worker, a girlfriend, and friend. I always have tried to put other people’s needs over my own and find myself feeling bad when I go after something I want when others feel it isn’t the appropriate thing to do.

Goodbyes Never Get Easier

I’m no stranger to goodbyes. We have gone through them for the past decade it seems like. From boot camp, to deployments, to long distance from our families; the list goes on. Each time I think they'll get easier and each and every single time I prove myself wrong.

Today was no different.

Sometimes, Things Fall Into Place

I’ve had the weirdest week this past week and it’s kind of funny how it all played out. I started the week off with quitting a job I hated, only to end it with accepting one that I love. It really proves that things happen for a reason, and sometimes things will fall into place when they don’t feel like it.

Live Passionately

I’ve been quite M.I.A. from writing recently, and it seems like it’s been forever, and I guess it has. I’ve been working a lot lately and doing some silent reflection on what I want in life and myself. After this week though, it kind of put things into perspective for me.

My Favorite Spring Roll Recipe

I don’t talk about it much, mainly because no one asks me until they see how picky I am while out to lunch with them, but I’m vegan. No, I’m not that kind of vegan to where I only eat salads, actually I rarely touch a salad and I should probably add them back into my food prep.

Since I am so picky with food, I tend to rotate out the same meals and occasionally add in new tries. My current obsession lately is fresh spring rolls.
