You’re Looking at the NEWEST Licensed Zumba Instructor!

I finally did it!

After year and years of contemplating the idea, I just jumped in and decided to finally do something for myself. Since I never have open Saturdays, and the fact that I did finally have one the same exact day that training was this year was totally fate. And I truly believe that.

So, you’re looking at your newest Zumba instructor!

I have loved Zumba for years, it is probably the dance background in me for why I prefer it compared to other forms of working out. Sure, I love my weight lifting on the occasion and I’m a huge yogi, but cardio is a different story. I like the elliptical and the stair stepper on some occasions, but it doesn’t give me that fulfilling motivation that going to a Zumba class does. It doesn’t make me excited to workout and sweat.

I started Zumba back in 2011 right after we moved to Jacksonville when Antonio was stationed there. The gym right around the corner from me offered it and I instantly fell in love with the energy of the room and how much fun everyone was having. You can’t walk out of a Zumba session not feeling good about yourself and that’s what a workout should do for you. I knew that moment that I wanted to help others feel the same way that that class made me one day.

And I finally did.

The entire process was so rewarding, tiring, and exciting. It was a super long day, full of working out, lectures, and meeting some amazing new people. I won’t lie when I say I went home and soaked my entire body afterwards.

I can’t thank Kim enough (my current Zumba mentor) for telling me to go and for pushing and inspiring me to do this for myself. I  so thankful to have met you and have your friendship. Even though I’m nervous to teach my first song in class today ;)

Also, a huge thanks to everyone that has supported me in this dream of mine. One day, when I have my own studio and juice/coffee bar I will find a way to repay you. Until then, watching AJ help me with routines will have to suffice.
